I don’t normally like fuel mileage races,

But the race at Texas Motor Speedway kept me on my feet.
I headed out to the track early, I learned years ago about the traffic. It was a hot day, it was the time change and I was ready to get to racing. I managed to park next to a couple of brothers that were at the track for some fun. I chit chatted a bit and then headed out to the midway. I wondered down to the Speed TV stage and was part of the crowd as the show was broadcast. Kenny is such an enthusiastic guy, Jimmy with his cigar… It was a lot of fun, I stayed until they switched to the F1 broadcast. I wondered down the midway and came across a Mark Martin autograph session, he doesn’t talk all that much.
I headed around the midway to the other end of the track and saw Jimmy Johnson at the Chevy stage. He was talking quite a bit: it was a question and answer session with someone; I didn’t know who the other person was. By the time it was over, I headed back to the car to drop off my goodies and pick up my cooler. I had to take the larger cooler into the track; my little soft sided one sprung a leak. I wondered to my seats, got settled in and awaited the start of the race….
