Racing and the museum.
10/31/2008

I am up in Fort Worth at Texas Motor Speedway.

I left the house early to be able to stop by the Kimball Museum to see a collection of impressionist painters. I detoured off the highway, stopped in to a crowded museum and managed to get through the exhibit in record time, I love that the space is small, doesn’t take a long time, but they get some great art there. I bought a couple of art prints for the house. None were from the exhibit, but I like them just the same and I have a couple of empty frames at the house.

I headed over to the track to take in the truck practices and qualifying later in the evening. I did hear on the scanner there was some cording on the tires. I hope that was just a bad set up and not a sign of the issues for today.

I am heading out in a few minuets to the track for a long day: practices start at 9:00 am with the truck races tonight at 8:00 pm. It should be a whole lot of fun!
