Work, Suite Cases and Baby News

It’s been an up and down week in my world.
A work issue heated up again on Tuesday with the supervisor, I don’t think she’s going to stop. I have been working with my union, with HR and my sworn supervisors. I went ahead and put in a transfer request back to my old unit, Records. I am greatly disappointed but I feel like I am backed into a corner right now. Only time will tell where I am going to end up working: Records or Homicide.
I got together with the ladies and we did a big suite case decorating for the shelter kids on Wednesday night. We got 28 cases decorated and had a lot of fun. I let my crafty creative side flow. I like the ones I decorated. I have photos, but I can’t find the cord for the camera right now. My temporary roommate is using my office and I think it’s on the desk. I will post some pictures as soon as I can.
I got an email yesterday from a friend that is in China picking up her child. I got to see the photos and the blog she posted yesterday. The baby is adorable, she is just about two and I could tell from the photos there is a lot of bonding going on. I am so happy for her and her husband. I am sure this will be a major adjustment for them, a toddler in the house. I can’t wait to baby-sit!
I have a ton of errands to do this weekend, I don’t have Easter plans, but I am going to work on the yard on Sunday. It’s time to get the tools out and get the lawn mower and the weed whacker going again. Spring is here in Austin and it’s time to get things back in shape in the yards.
