What a week, it must be the planets.
01/11/2008

Monday it was catch the bad guy day.

Monday was quite exciting: the bad guy was caught, got a million dollar bond and no one got hurt taking him into custody. I was a bit nervous about this bad guy, when we got him in custody, I felt a big relief I was worried about my co-workers having to go get him.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday was dealing with disgruntled families. It seems no matter what is done there is going to be someone that is upset. I had to deal with lots of people calling this week. Friends, friends of friends, significant others and relationships to people I couldn’t figure out. I am very limited in what information I can release, most of the time I just pass the calls onto the detectives working the case for them to sort them all out. I know people get frustrated with me, but I am not the one to figure out who gets notified about a death.

I had a crying woman on the telephone yesterday, very upset and I had difficulty dealing with her. The detective working the case was off, the sergeant was busy, but I had to interrupt. I didn’t have any details to work with: I had a name and a case number but no notes from the investigator and they had lots of questions.

I had a dental appointment on Tuesday morning that was quite painful; I am still hurting and am about to give up on eating on the left side of my mouth. Soft food seems to be in my future for a while. I skipped my yoga classes this week, just a bit too painful to be in the gym with an aching mouth.

Tonight I am going to take my steady Friday night date to the park. I will be driving in to get out of their as quick as I can. Saba and I didn't make it to the park last week, I ended up working late instead, I am not going to do that two weeks in a row. I might stop at the discount store tonight after the park: I saw something on sale that I have been looking for. I might just buy myself an early birthday present.
