Dakar ‘08 Canceled!?

I just read on the BBC news that the rally was canceled due to terrorist threats.
Wow, I wasn’t expecting that, I am sure no one was. I wonder what the drivers and teams will do. They have spent loads of money getting equipment there, people there and the trucks, cars and bikes. I am sure Robby Gordon is quite disappointed.
I had that meeting yesterday; I was quite surprised by the results and the tone of the meeting. I think it was helpful, it opened dialog and it showed that I wasn’t going to be pushed around. Some of the power struggles became apparent, the confusion that creates became apparent. It was nice to have a 3rd party present to keep the meeting on track, to keep the tone professional and have someone moderate the difficult issues. I hope the tone and revisions from the meeting follow through.
I stayed home last night, I skipped yoga. I just wanted to make a couple of calls, take a bubble bath and have a relaxing night after a stress filled day.
