Friday in suburbia

Had dinner with Randy and Lisa and kids last night. It was fun to get together, my goodness the kids are now young adults. It is funny how time freezes in your mind.
Picked up the rental car yesterday did some driving along the beach, it was an overcast day and the sun was not out but it was fun anyway. They have the “parking police” out in droves. High school kids that patrol the parking lots looking for beach stickers. If ya don’t live here, ya can’t park here mentality. What a waste.
Being in CT brings up lots of memories, not all that good. I didn’t bother going out last night. The club I used to frequent had a cover band and there doesn’t seem to be any live music to be had in the bars. Just as I remembered. The bars tend to have a music box and you pump quarters or probably dollars by now.
Big problem for today and Sunday. I have to find a place to watch the races. I did get the radio stations that carry MRN but I really want to watch the race. I guess I will have to head to a sports bar.
Reunion scheduled for 8:00 sharp tonight. The red dress is unpacked and ironed and ready to go....
