Short week coming up.
06/02/2003

I have a haircut scheduled, a meeting at my house and then head up to the races. I may go to a movie tonight but not sure, I need to get some chores done, Saba needs some food and my freezer is empty.

I spent most of the weekend working. Saturday night I had planned to go see a friends band but just ran out of stem. Cranky and I went out for a Pancake dinner. The restaurant had reserved some of there parking spaces for the bikers that were in for town for the rally. We headed back to the casa and I turned on the TV sat in the comfy chair and just couldn’t move out of it to get to the show. I crawled out of the chair, headed to work at 9:00p.m. to lock up some apartments after the carpets got cleaned late and then collapsed into bed.

Sunday was a work day again. I headed to the office right after church, at 11:15 to meet the first move in of the day. No phone calls for about an hour then I find out that U-haul didn’t have his trailer ready on time. The second move in showed up on time and the third showed up early. Guess what, they were all in the office at the same time. We all went through the leases together exchanged checks and signatures then they got there keys. I had to do the walkthroughs with each of them separately then write in all the rent checks that had arrived through the drop slot. I shut the front light off, closed the blinds and locked the door. I just wanted to get the job done and get out of there.

I headed over to the Austin Stories gathering a little late. I grabbed a bite to eat a couple of margaritas enjoyed some chit chat and then headed over to Barton Springs pool. I just dove right in, I was hot and cranky by that point in the day. What a relief icy cool water can change your attitude quickly. I had another meeting scheduled last night but somehow that didn’t make. I headed out with Cranky for dinner. She had to work all day and needed comfort food. We went to see Tony, at our favorite joint just around the corner. It is always a giggle fest when we head there. I just picked last night between the laughter.

I got home and wanted to watch Sunday afternoons race from Dover. Big disappointment, I popped the tape in hit play and it was the Coca Cola 600. That was last weekends race! I skimmed the tape thinking I had not rewound it all the way, but no, it just didn’t tape yesterday. I guess I will have to watch the re-broadcast on Speed Wednesday night after the haircut.
