Singing dancing and drinking
05/18/2003

Had a birthday party to go to last night.

I had a GREAT time at a birthday partys last night. Two of the neighborhood boys combined birthday parties. There was barbeque, Salsa dancing, acoustic guitar playing, sing alongs and the most decedent chocolate birthday cake. It was blast and I stayed out a little late.

I ended up taping the Winston last night. I wanted to go to the party and watch the race. I will pop the tape in after the bush race this afternoon. I watched part of it after the party last night but fell sound asleep before the race ended. I didn’t look at Nascar.com today since I want to have a treat to watch.

I managed to get up this morning and had breakfast with Kramer and a few other readers. They were heading to the psychic fair to work, I was headed to church. I cleaned up the Rose Garden this morning. Did I tell ya’all I planted the vegetable garden yesterday? I got seeds and they are in, I need to get some tomato plants and all will be set. I hope things grow quickly. I noticed the Sunflower seeds I planted last weekend are starting to pop up. I planted them around the barn. I think it will be fun, I have the little fountain running in the Rose Garden now and the birds just love it. I should attract some more critters to the back yard.

I am thinking about planting a tree in the back yard. I have nice large pecan trees and some peaches but I want something a little showier. I may get another Regal Desert Willow. They have pretty pink flowers and are a native Texas tree. They also don’t require water after they are established. I like drought tolerant plants and I think with the summer we are in for, I might wait until fall to plant the trees.
