Lots of movement in the Nascar world. The Winston cup teams are off for Mothers day weekend. There was some shuffling of drivers yesterday. Mike Wallace goes to the 01 Army car while Jerry Nadeau recovers. Shawn Parker goes to the 88 Dale Jarett as crew chief. Jeff Green goes to the 1 for Pennzoil Chevy.
Me, I had a nice dinner with Tim http://timbrat.com/, the other night. We met up at a local Mexican grill. We had a lot of fun just socializing and drinking margaritas. It was a well needed break from the routing. I was just walking into the house after a long day at the office. I was trying to decide what to do, a little shopping therapy, a swim with the dog or some other form of recreation. There was a message on the machine, “I am just craving… Do you want to join me?” Oh Yah, good food, nice friends just the way to end a stressful day. I don’t know why but margaritas sometime just make everything better.
I headed into the office yesterday morning to find a surprise. The boss had the contractors working on the siding on my building. It was Way noisy yesterday. They had to rip the old siding off and re-wrap the building and then started attaching the new stuff. The funniest thing was the door bell. It kept ringing every time they pounded on the wall. I finally reached the overload point. I walked out the door and pulled all the wires apart. It stopped the ringing. The wires had just been touching enough to send the current to the bell. I managed to get some work done, but it was a distracting day.
I headed over to another friends house last night to watch CSI and have dinner with the girls. I don’t often have an interactive TV experience. It was fun sharing comments with the other girls as the show progressed. Did I mention we had a nice dinner prepared by the most excellent hostess?
Heading to work and to see the boss sing tonight. He is in a bunch of choirs and one of them has a performance tonight. Classical voices should be neat.
