SXSW is 10 days long, starting with film and interactive then on to music. I have a ton of contact information on my desk and need to start e-mailing some of these folks. I waited until today so I would at least be coherent with my notes. I got some sleep last night and fee like I can function now.
I wonder how this will all work out. Lots of new friends, some old friends surfaced and some new business contacts. I want to keep up with a bunch of them. Gosh, I just love e-mail. I can type a letter any time of the day or night and it doesn’t disturb anyone until they are ready to see it. No phones ringing in the middle of the night, no unwanted interruptions on the cell phone.
I had a journal Con meeting last night. Wow, I just love the Omni bar at dusk, the atrium just sores and the light reflects off the glass. I was still a little foggy from lack of sleep and couldn’t keep a thought in my head long enough to get it from thought to words. Thank goodness these folks know I have been busy for a few weeks and I was just exhausted last night.
I have a cop meeting tonight. It should be interesting to see if officer K from the bad boys incident (see 1/4/2003 entry) will be at the meeting. I had heard he is scheduled to attend. Giggle, giggle this should be fun I can‘t wait to see him again and give him a little grief. I will try to be good, but I can‘t guarantee it.
