OMG! I just watched the race from Darlington, what a photo finish!
03/18/2003

I had to tape the race due to prior commitments. I didn’t look at NASCAR.com all day Sunday or Monday, so I popped the tape in the VCR tonight. I heard the finish was awsome.

Talk about a photo finish, Ricky Craven in the Tide car and Kurt Bush in the Rubbermaid stuck together crossing the finish line. The noses of the cars a quarter of an inch apart sliding across the checkered line. Wow!

Mark Martin in 4th and Dale Jr. in 6th, not a bad day for my drivers. Mark drives a Roush engine and it made it through the race. I am still convinced there is some metal fatigue issues going on in the drive trains of the Roush engines. There were a few that blew early in the race. The teardown of the engines should tell what the differences were. The tech guys will be measuring every millimeter of the parts this week.

I am looking forward to heading up to Fort Worth for the race next week. I can’t wait to see where my seats are. I looked on line and they look good. I will leave next Wednesday night to make sure I can get there in time for testing and practice on Thursday. There is also a little get together for the season ticket holders on Thursday night. I wonder which drivers will be there. Lots to look forward to.
