I attended the Governors Salute to TX Music (I got my photo with the Gov.),and then headed over to the Austin Music Awards. I had heard rumors that Del Castillo would be getting a few awards but they took a bunch.

I was at both record release parties for Kevin and Del Castillo. I am so proud of all of them. I did a lot of networking last night, I have a pocket full of business cards, notes on scrap paper and assorted phone numbers. It always amazes me that the National/International acts will stop there touring and head home for the Austin Music Awards. I don’t know of any other city that honors there musicians quite this way. Willie Nelson finally accepted his hall of fame award, a few years late but what the heck, we all know Willie is a little flaky. Margaret Mosher did an EXCELLENT job of lining up the music segments:
