Blogging took a back seat this week.

I have been a bit busy since my Monday appointment.
I have been muddling through the “to do” list from the super sub-specialist the other day. It has taken a bit of extra time in the mornings. I have had to do a bunch of running around and I have been reading a whole lot of resource material that was given to me. I have been scouring the internet for information and trying to get my thoughts around this problem. I am learning a whole lot of big words; I am going back to my Latin from high school to understand some of the meanings. I feel like I have a better grasp now, but I am still working through the information. I am left wondering how I ended up in the 5% of the small percent of people that get this thing. Hum, it’s just baffling to me.
Work has been plugging along, it’s nice to work with the lead detective on the current case. I know he trusts me and doesn’t have a problem sharing information. It makes it easier, if I need something, I can look in the case binder. I can add the reports I produce and put them in the case binder, I know his layout. We have worked together for a couple of years and we have always had good communication. I know he appreciates the effort I put in. It makes me feel good.
I went to an awards ceremony on Friday: I got a little certificate and a couple of nice gifts. It was nice to be recognized for something I did. I had to detour back to the bank before I went. I was trying to get a bit of cash out of the magic money machine Friday morning and ran into a problem. I put my card in, entered my pin number and then the machine blinked on and off. The screen flashed with a fatal error message and went blank. The machine had my card. I went and got coffee and waited for a bank employee to arrive. I asked her if they had access to the machine, she said yes, but it would take a couple of hours. I left her my business card and she called me and told me she had it later in the morning. She was my hero yesterday; I have my magic money card back for the weekend.
I got back to the office after the awards ceremony and had a note from one of my favorite TX Rangers. He stopped by to work on another case and stopped to see me, but I was gone. I did manage to talk to him and the other Ranger before the day was over. He always makes me smile, he is so professional, so experienced and has that respected TX Ranger Badge.
