Some day’s I just need to stop and read a book.

I got lost in my own city, ended up heading north instead of south.
I was on the way to see a friend in the morning and tired a short cut and got completely turned around. I had to grab the map book from under the seat and figure out where I was. I headed next to the mall to get my glasses fixed, found that one ok. I headed next to the big box store and ended up heading west when I wanted east. The offer wasn’t what I thought it was, just a one day thing not a membership. I declined. I don’t need cases of things for a single person. I tried that and it just doesn’t work for me.
I went back to the house, made a couple of telephone calls then crawled into bed. I figured it was safer to read a book than try to do the yard work. (I like my fingers and toes and the way the day went…) I ended up taking a 3 hour nap, got up, did a few things and headed back to bed.
Did you know you can break the speaker on a cell phone? I didn’t. I couldn’t figure out why all my calls were going to voice mail. I was looking at the phone on Saturday morning and Mom called. It just flashed with her name and number and didn’t ring. Hum, I tried calling myself after we talked: no ring. I headed to the phone repair shop and guess what? They have a set price to fix the speaker on the phone! I guess it happens once in a while.
I went to a baby shower for a friend from work Saturday afternoon, I am glad we did it. She needed a lot of stuff: the baby got here 7 weeks ahead of schedule.
I headed down for the races at the local track. There was a great turn out, great racing except they were wrecking after the checkers in the Mods. I didn’t head to the pits, it was late, I was cold and I cranked the heat on the way home. I will post more about that tonight. I have to go do my average job at my average workplace today.
