Short track & short tempers at Richmond Saturday Night.
09/07/2003
Two of drivers Kevin Harvick and Ricky Rudd and there entire crews got called to the Big Red Truck after the race. That’s the NASCAR official domain of Mike Helton, president and John Darby, director. They hand out the warnings, they hand out the fines and penalties. 43 Drivers on a 0.75 mile oval going over 100 miles per hour, can you say tempers?
Kevin Harvick is mad at Ricky Rudd, Robby Gordon is mad at Jeff Burton and on and on. By the way Ryan Newman won the race. All the drivers are trying to get to the front of the field, all are extremely competitive, going that fast on a small track accidents are bound to happen. Tuesday should be the official announcement of fines and penalties.
Well, I mentioned the other day that the computers were back working at the job. Guess I spoke to soon. I went out for lunch and all hell broke loose by the time I got back. Upgrade, re-load and all that sort of stuff. I thought we had the problem licked by then end of the day Friday. NOPE, I went in Saturday morning to finish up my work and things are not right yet. This time it is a printer issue. I can print but the checks don’t have the nifty little bank codes correctly on them. It is going to have to wait until Monday, I have no idea what to try next. I will have to call the software people and see if they can figure it out. I give up, none of my tricks worked.
I headed out with Cranky to see Pirates of the Caribbean during the matinee, wow, that was that a good movie. It was fun to escape the frustrations of the past few days for a couple of hours. I am nearly over the edge with all the frustrations. I am just tired of it, something has got to give.
