We are growing and race thoughts.
08/23/2003

I just checked the stats for devota.org and we are getting more traffic week by week. Strange, I didn’t know so many of you were reading! Thanks. I can't wait until after JournalCon, the site will look a lot different.

I watched the bush race last night and it was a frustration filled event. I can only imagine what will happen tonight for the Winston cup race. Tempers were kept in check, a bunch of cars got smashed but everyone was ok. Brother called during the last 20 laps of the race. Scott Riggs the nesquik bunny car finished 9th but is now leading in points after the race. Did you see his spin on the way to the garage? He came so close to the barrier. Matt Kenseth pulled off the track after 217 laps. He got spun, turned and twisted all race long. Great driving Matt I don’t know HOW you kept that car away from the wall.

Bristol, do you bring a good car or do you just bring a car you don’t really care about? The chance of getting caught up in someone else’s wreck is quite good. I wonder what the fans are going to do tonight during the driver introductions. I would expect Kurt Busch will get booed. That may not sit well with him, he has been a “darling” of Nascar and featured in a bunch of ads. Should be interesting how he handles himself in the car after that. I noticed when the starting grid got posted late last night, Robby is listed starting 22. That will be back in the pack. Hold on tight the first few laps may be a little tense.

YES, I did answer the phone when brother called, he has some important stuff going on this week and the next few. It was a funny conversation, I made him turn on the race as we were talking. There was lots of what was that’s and did you see that’s going on but we managed to get the important stuff talked about.

I am heading off to work and yoga and am waiting to see if I have to puppy sit tonight.
