Michael Waltrip and team get docked points and fined 25K!
07/10/2003

Nice, an illegal carburetor! Nascar docked Waltrip 25 driver points and 25 owner points deducted from Theresa Earnhardt. Slugger Labbe the crew chief fined 25K. Nice try but y’all got caught!

I also saw on That’s Racing that a bolt failed and the tethering didn’t hold from Robby Gordon’s car. That’s how a hood ended up in the stands. I have attended a few races over the years, it is dangerous to be in the stands. Especially in short track local racing. Parts do fly off the cars. It is a chance you take as you walk into any racetrack. Any professional sporting event has its risks, flying baseballs, drunken fans and hockey pucks that careen around the arena. I think it is actually more dangerous to drive to the event and walk through the parking lots than it is to sit in the seat. This won’t stop me from attending races.

Had a JournalCon meeting last night. I hope some things will be open for “publication” by the 15th. It is a little hard not to say what is going on.

Heart Of Texas Raceway. Kramer says, "check it out." Just up other side of Belton. Or Killeen. Maybe Temple. Waco?
