Swimming, meetings and get-togethers.
05/05/2003

I spent most of Sunday in meetings. I headed off to Church first thing then to Journalcon planning, next was the Sunday afternoon get together of web writers. I ducked out after and had a nice evening with Saba.

The planning meeting went well. We got a lot of things nailed down. I sworn to secrecy about the meetings but I am will tell you that the panel topics are looking great! Lots of ideas, a bit of follow up needed but it is all progressing quite well.

I had a geek moment at church yesterday. I was board with the sermon and pulled the Handspring out of my bag. I was writing myself a few notes. I am not sure if I should have done this but it was a good use of my time and there were a few thoughts I just needed to get written down. I wonder what God would think about technology use in church.

Saba, T. and I headed out to one of my favorite swimming spots last night. There is a park a short drive from the house that is a leash free park. Saba did a lot of running around and sat in the water as I had a dip in the chilly water. There were various dogs that came to visit as we sat on the shore. It was nice to visit with T. and have a little fun and relaxation. It was a hot muggy day in Austin yesterday so the swim was much needed. When we got back to the house I made dinner and Saba was sound asleep on the floor. I think I finally wore him out. It was a nice ending to a hectic week.

I'm so excited about the panels, too! This is going to be a lot of fun!
