I am sitting here in Austin wondering what I can do to support our troops.

I have written a letter to a good friend of mine in the service, I will send that out today. I am sure it will be a few weeks before he gets it and I want him to know he is in my thoughts and prayers.
I also want to show that I enjoy my freedom that these men and woman are fighting for. I will be going to the NASCAR races in Fort Worth next week. I think the opening ceremony’s will be fabulous, full of patriotic gesturing. I know a lot of the troops are NASCAR fans. I saw last week that 400 tickets were released for sale because the troops from Oklahoma had been deployed. I wonder if any of the troops will be watching the race? I think a lot of them will be to busy fighting but I imagine they will get updates on the race results.
