Jack Roush may have the answer
03/11/2003

"I think it burned a piston," Jack Roush said of Martin's wounded ride. "Last week, it was a broken crankshaft."

HUM, I bet the tech guys are working very hard this week looking at the drive train. I was wondering what was blowing on the cars in qualifying last week at Atlanta. I think we might just have an answer. Metal fatigue. This week should be another test for the engines Darlington is a fast track, there are not many cautions on this track. I wonder if the crews will be replacing the pistons and drive shafts before they ship the cars. Darlington in a short drive from many of the teams headquarters.
