Anticipation
03/07/2003

OK So the contractor came yesterday to look at the barn, should have numbers shortly. I have to pick up guest at the airport today and I didn’t get my badge last night.

Bag stuffing went fine. It was a big crowd. 1450 volunteers and thousands of bags to stuff. I never made it to the other side of the hall to see what the canvas bags look like. I will find out this afternoon when I pick up my badge and my other stuff. I was assigned to handle the awaiting crowd. Hand out there check in slips, keep them orderly and shuffle them through the lines. I am getting very good at crowd control, moving mass amounts of people through the lines. Making announcements to them all and keeping the order. How do you put that on a resume?

I think I am ready for my first house guest, the spare bed is made up, I got that done last night. There is breakfast food in the cupboard and I have the bus schedules and bus passes. I did request my guest bring some bagels from NYC. I hope he brings them, I was day dreaming about them yesterday. There is nothing like a real bagel.

...and real lox and real New York cream cheese, and it helps if you can hear a Bronx accent in the background....
