Sushi for dinner and SXSW
02/27/2003
Met up with a couple of friends for dinner last night. I wanted a quiet celebration for the big birthday. I already had the party so dinner was just fine with me.
I am younger than I thought. I was figuring on 39 but did the math and it is only 38. Silly me, I don’t even know how old I am. I sure don’t feel like I am 38. I don’t really feel any age at all. I know I wouldn’t trade to go back and do it over again. I am comfortable with my life now.
Things are heating up with SXSW. Lots of e-mails flying around. I am still waiting on flight times from my guests. I give up, I am not going to bug them anymore. If I can’t grab them at the airport, they will have to pay for a cab to the house. No longer on my to do list. They are now on there own.
I am having trouble fitting into a crew again this year. It always happens but this year seems a little different. I was assigned to a crew chief for ease of paperwork but he just doesn’t understand. I had to get some of the bigwigs involved yesterday. I don’t want to set this guy up for failure, I don’t want to piss him off but when I say I have my hands full on my duties, don’t try to schedule me for your stuff. I only needed him to update the schedule to show where I will be. I checked the schedule again this morning, it is not updated, I guess I will have to do this on Sunday. I don’t have the access to the database to do this update myself. Gurr, I don’t know why this is bothering me so much but Dam it, I want credit for the hours I put in. I want my badge on time, and I don’t want any hassles this year.
