20 staircases full of ice and snow

Yup, it was my turn to clear them off. I headed out to the office early yesterday morning hoping to get some work done. Nope, there was no one else in at my location. I grabbed the shovel, the salt and started on them. 3 ½ hours later they were all cleared.
I have to thank 2 of the residents, they used there own salt to clear the stairs. I was heading back to stairwell number 19 when I happily noticed that it was cleared. YAH, I was really tired by that point. I headed to number 20 and the clearer of 19 came out to chat. I caused a BIG stir yesterday when I accidentally turned the phone off. I had messages from the Boss, Kramer and the maintenance guy. They thought something terrible happened to me. I am glad I have such good friends. Just a mistake but they were out searching for me. I am heading out this morning to spread more salt. UGH there was a reason I left New England many years ago. I hate to deal with this stuff, lots of work, no rewards.
Oh, it is my birthday today. No big plans yet, just going to head out to dinner. Sushi I think.
