Everyone interrupted my schedule yesterday.

I had planned on getting a bunch of stuff done at the office but alas there were other problems to be handled.
One tenant is trying to decide which medical school to go to. He had an offer from one north of here offing up lots of benefits but nothing on paper. I wouldn’t change if were him. A verbal promise to pay 23K for school. I know his parents cant handle that kind of bill. He is from a large family in the valley and they are just making it. The trouble with loans and grants, if you are middle class you are screwed. If you are dirt poor, lots of funding, if you are rich, you can afford to pay for it. Smart kid, I like him a lot. Sometime being a manager is like having an extra 100 kids.
One couple came in today to look at an apartment. Gosh, I can’t rent to a felon let alone two felons. Gee, I just stole a payroll check. I did my time, no probation or parole. Forgot to tell me the husband had a record also. He was busted for breaking into and stealing cars, check fraud and a few other minor violations. Gee just the couple you want living next door to you. Sad thing too, she is due to have a baby in April. I just can’t help them out.
I may have to head up to FT Worth on Monday. I am having lots of trouble with some folks up there. One of the roommates has not paid rent for a while and they are trying to move a new roommate in. I don’t want to file and eviction on them all but I am running out of options. That would ruin there credit for years. How hard is it to pay the rent? I am not talking a lot of money here, $300.- for her share of the house.
I headed over to Guerros for the Journal happy hour. It was a lively group of folks. I had met a few of them before, some new faces, some old friends. I still don’t get the difference between bloggers and journalers.
Plan for today: Pick up party supplies, grocery shopping, pet smart for critter food, get ready for the big debutant shindig tonight.
