27 displaced children: some crafts, dinner, an elf and some gifts.
It was the emergency shelter holiday party yesterday. Smiles were abounding, that’s rare sometimes and the kids were able to be just that: Kids.

I had to attend a class yesterday, petty cash handling for the city.
I don’t know how this woman kept a straight face: we were discussing the robbery policy and a couple of the SWAT guys were in the class.

I have had the same alarm clock for years,
It is yellowed with age, the numbers are bright red and big enough to see without glasses in the morning. I think it is about 10 years old. Somehow I managed to get mixed up with the am/pm yesterday morning the alam never went off.
