I headed down to the local waterhole to watch the NASCAR race on Sunday afternoon and again the number of football fans greatly outnumbered the race fans.

I started my day with Guy Forsyth, next came Calexico, then Shelby Lynn, Elvis Costillo, Wilco and I ended my day with Medeski, Martin and Wood.

Tracy is here visiting from Toronto and between the two of us it seems we both know someone here, or I know someone there. We spent the morning shopping for cowboy shirts for her and then headed out to the lake for swim with Saba before I dropped her off at the festival. She had a few bands she wanted to see and I was taking Saba back home.

I live in the wrong state.
So I go to the local bar to watch NASCAR, it’s the Richmond night race, the last race for the chase qualifying and the bar has 25 TV’s. I have to ask for the race to be put on one of them, they say yes and put me in the corner, around the bar wedged in next to the waitress stand, no sound.

Robby Gordon gets his first Busch Win
Richmond, short track and a win in the #55 car. I have been waiting for this since Robby started racing the # 55 car. Dam it feels good, I wish I was there to celebrate. Way to go Robby, I am awfully proud of you.

He demands that he get arrested. See he had been driving him around for the last few hours and it turns out the guy didn’t have any money. It gets wilder from there.
