You know it is a long hot day when you have to take your sandals off and rest your feet.
July 30- Aug 15 are the busiest days at the day job. Way to many people moving in and moving out, it hit over 100 for the last 2 days and I am just tired.

Tracy’s working SARS show
The Rolling Stones are going to headline and the band list is incredible! If you are any where near Toronto, I would head up, tickets are cheap, 22.50 Canadian. The line up sounds great!

Well, I didn’t make it home before the day changed.
Back home in the state of TEXAS, my home. Long day of travel and a few delays along the way. It was great to see Saba and Sid, I miss my kids and awful lot. I miss sleeping with them and there unbounded love and energy.

I have a bunch of new racing buddies
I headed off to the local sports bar, Tony D’s Café to watch the NASCAR races. I had checked with the owner, Tony the day before to make sure they were going to show the race. It is New England and there sure is not a lot of race news around here.

Dragons and Gremlins slayed
The HS reunion was last night. Lovely location, GREAT lobster and lots of thoughts and memories. I faced some demons and was able to come through it unscathed.

Friday in suburbia
Had dinner with Randy and Lisa and kids last night. It was fun to get together, my goodness the kids are now young adults. It is funny how time freezes in your mind.

Testing at Indy, Fines and driver changes
I head to the airport and lots of racing news today. Kevin Harvick fined 25 points, Richard Childress fined 25 owner points and crew chief fined 25K. Jack Sprague is out of the net 0 car and John Andretti will replace him for at least 2 races. Andretti is still in talks with DEI about a ride in in the Brickyard 400.

New England 300, New Hampshire July 20th I want a ticket.
I just talked to MOM about heading to the race on Sunday she finally agreed, but it seems it is sold out. I tried looking for a ticket on the net but my god it is extortion. 200-300 per ticket.

Robby Gordon 7th, Ryan Newman wins.
Not a bad day when he started from the back of the pack. I watched part of qualifying on Friday Evening, and Robby’s car was way off. He ends the weekend 15th in points.

Tuesday, margarita for lunch and Yoga for dinner.
I managed to sneak out of the office for lunch with a friend. He is going to help me on a JournalCon topic. After dealing with grumpy tenants in the morning I had had enough. Margarita with lunch.

Greg Biffle the rookie won. Robby Gordon got wrecked, Dale Jr. and Michael W. had the wrong fuel strategy
Restrictor plate racing at Daytona. I got a call from my friend J on his way back from the track just before the race. He went down for qualifying and happy hour but headed home to watch the race. J and I do a lot of race talking and he was convinced the DEI cars were going to be the dominant ones of the race. Close John, they just forgot the fuel strategy. A Roush team won, a Roush teammate Matt Kenseth, helped out and DEI ended up 7th and 11th. Dale Jarrett came in 10th.

Safer barriers, X body cars and roof hatches are on the way according to Mike Helton. Robby Gordon defending his caution pass again.
It was a rainy 4th of July here, showers on and off all day long. I spent most of the day watching racing, it’s my favorite way to spend a day off lately. Daytona practice, Trackside Live and the Bush race. It was followed up by Tom Hanks in Days of Thunder.
