June 2005

20 kids, 4 hours of swimming, sunning, hot dogs and lots of laughs.
I helped take bunch of kids swimming yesterday. It was the swim party with the Bouldin Babes and the emergency shelter kids.

So are we really like our pets?
It was a funny diner conversation, Cranky, Mikey and I went out tonight.

Not much news this week.
Recovering from the icky what ever and struggling along.

Sunday oh yah, its fathers day.
I woke up early this morning: I had a few extra critters in the bedroom this morning. I am babysitting this week, Athena and Keira are visiting again. There was no stopping all of them from waking me up. Nope, they wouldn’t listen, they were convinced it was time to get up at 6:30.

A sad story with a happy middle.
One of the members of the Texas Racing family had a horrid work accident a couple of weeks ago. I have been watching this story and it’s the first time I am going to ask you to help.

Sunburn, tired and happy.
The perfect ending to a race weekend. The IRL race was quick on Saturday night speeds topped 214 miles per hour on some laps.

Jack Sprague and then Johnny Benson in the truck race last night.
I headed out to the museum and then headed over to the track for a full day of practice and then the Truck race.

Heading North
That’s I-35 North to Texas Motor Speedway. Can Danica Patrick do it this weekend? Will David Starr win at his home track?

“while we may not be on everybody’s radar right now, they better start checking it soon” Robby Gordon Media Notes from Dover.
It ended up being a good day for Robby during last Sunday’s race at Dover. He managed to lead 7 laps, the engine held and he ended up finishing up 29th due to a blown tire. It's a road course this weekend at Pocono. Robby has always been strong on the road courses, its back to his racing roots.

Republic of Texas Rally on the way home.
The bikes are here, lots and lots of them. They were spread all over downtown Austin last night.

I was a little over the top yesterday.
Sorry. I got a few random comments about the rant. I guess I was just a bit fed up.
