No Winston cup racing this weekend so what did I do?
I cleaned the house. Not just the weekly clean, the big clean. The tile mopped, the carpets steam cleaned, laundry all done and the are no dust bunnies left in my house.

No picnic for me this year. At least not paid, I may still head out there if the weather is nice.
I got an email back from the venue, they were all set with the back of house stuff. Did mention we should get together after the big show and talk.

Ms. McK is on her way to Africa, the Boss is on the way home and I am not sure about the picnic yet.
I got a call from my 21 year old pal as she sped out of Austin. She was on the way to meet up with her traveling companion down in south TX, they are flying out of Houston-Hobby. I think she was a little nervous, a little excited and a little scared. This is a big trip for her, doing research off the cost of South Africa. The girl is going to study Sharks! Gak! She is a Marine Biology major, this should be a good stepping stone in her career, being credited in a research paper, something to put on her resume. I am sure she will do just fine. I thought her flight was this morning but it is Friday middle of the nigh/early morning.

Robby Gordon won and Jeff Gordon is bitching!
Sonoma California was the setting, it was a road course race. Lots of turns, curves and inclines. Not your normal round NASCAR track. There were the hired guns, road course specialists, who tried to win, actually won the pole but the NASCAR regulars won the race.

Thunderhill racing
Headed on down to the short track for Saturday Night racing. I dragged Cranky with me, it seemed the night would never end. The first race was filled with cautions and accidents it took over 2 hours to complete 75 laps.

Just the girls last night.
I headed home after work to meet up with Ms. McK so she could use the computer. It was time to do the financial aid stuff for school and check on the status of her tirp. I left her at the house and took Saba to the bank and forging for food.

Splashing in the lake
Saba and I headed out last night to do a little swimming and a little relaxing. I was exhausted from the lack of sleep Monday night but my baby was a bundle of energy.

Just normal crap yesterday.
I headed to the cop meeting on Wed. night, we have a new commander. We have different ideas about community policing. It was only the second meeting we have had. I am trying to reserve judgment but am struggling with it. I am going to leave it at that for right now.

Spider bites and music news
I ended up in the doctors office yesterday. I had this bite on my hip and it started to look icky. I noticed it had a brown center and started to panic. Doc says its not a brown recluse but it is something with venom. I started on antibiotics and hope to keep the secondary infection at bay.

A day off and the office is in shambles.
I walked into the office for Monday morning and was expecting a little more of the Monday stuff since I took Friday off, but it was a mess. The copier was broken, the phone was broken and my desk was a mess. There are a few things I like to have in my work world. A copier that works. A phone that doesn’t hang up on people, A fax that does it stuff andAa computer that works. Not much to ask for but yesterday it was not in the cards.

I spent a good part of the day Saturday waiting for the IRL race to start. See I printed the schedule for TMS and headed out to watch ROMCO (super late models) qualifying at 1:00 pm.

Big scare and a big party last night.
I had a couple of guest here last night before the big Clifford’s home party. We were out in the back yard when Saba stopped moving, he got listless and stopped breathing.

Short week coming up.
I have a haircut scheduled, a meeting at my house and then head up to the races. I may go to a movie tonight but not sure, I need to get some chores done, Saba needs some food and my freezer is empty.
