"It's a Sad Day in the Neighborhood."
Fred Rogers 1928-2003. Mr. Rogers has passed. I was saddened by this news. Did you grow up with him too? Millions of kids did. I always liked him, he was a kind man. He was a pioneer in television and children’s programs. I was allowed to watch his program growing up. We didn’t watch a lot of TV but Mr. Rodgers was always allowed. Good by and peace to you neighbor.

Sushi for dinner and SXSW
Met up with a couple of friends for dinner last night. I wanted a quiet celebration for the big birthday. I already had the party so dinner was just fine with me.

TX weather effecting NASCAR.
I just read a story on NASCAR.com that the car haulers are having a little trouble with the weather here in TX. They are running into weather delays. Especially the BUSH teams, they raced on Monday and had to head back home, unload, reload the trucks and head on out to Las Vegas.

20 staircases full of ice and snow
Yup, it was my turn to clear them off. I headed out to the office early yesterday morning hoping to get some work done. Nope, there was no one else in at my location. I grabbed the shovel, the salt and started on them. 3 ½ hours later they were all cleared.

Bad Fox Affiliate last night
Our local station screwed up the tape and we didn’t see the last 10 minuets of Joe Millionaire. The “we are experiencing technical difficulties” blaring from the TV. They could get the commercials to run but not the show. Break to News and no mention of the incident- bad producer. It will re-air on Thursday night but I doubt I will tune in, I have meetings scheduled.

Mark Martin finished 7th but is 4th in points. Not a bad day for the older racers
Dale Jarrett won the race by playing the tire game. He held Kurt Bush off on the last 10 laps. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be fuel or tires that won the race. The old guys have raced Rockingham NC for years and have a feel for the track, the grooves and the tire wear. The Fords came in strong. I a was a little surprised the Chevy’s didn’t show better after there domination last week during the restrictor plate race at Daytona. Poor Dale Jr., he is having a miserable start to the season. Blew a tire, wrecked the wheel housing....

We are wireless baby!
I had a request from a gust that I install a wireless network at the house so we can both be on the computer at the same time.It has been something I was thinking about for a while, I looked into it and it was a lot cheaper than I thought.

Bud Pole Shoot out last night!
Racing HAS STARTED! 19 of the best drivers in the NASCAR circuit. The cars looked sleek under the lights, the format was a Saturday night short track style. Daytona with its tri-oval lots of bumping and grinding! The race was 20 laps then a 10 min. break, then a shoot out to the finish. One green flag pit stop. All the cars pitted at once, It was a mad dash to pit road.

Space Tragedy, new hair and an old flame
I spent the morning talking with mom. I got a recap of all the events in FL. We were on the phone for a bout an hour and a half. There was a lot of information to share. I hung up and got into the morning routine for getting ready for work, and the phone rang again.
