Happy Easter.

The job change is on hold for now.

The job change isn’t taking place for another 2 weeks: that’s the latest update I got on Friday afternoon. The new job I was told I had, it doesn’t exist yet. The project is not scheduled to come on line until December, if there is funding. I was told now I am not getting that position but being switched to something else and the job will be re-evaluated in a few months. I was also told I would have a different supervisor than the one I thought I was getting. It is all in flux, things have been changing by the day, by the hour. Needless to say I feel like I am being re-organized out the door and the stress hasn’t helped at all with IT.

I looked at the space I was told I was going to occupy on Friday morning and was disappointed: it’s a desk thrown in a hall with no chair, no phone and no computer. I stopped on Friday night to pick up a few things for my new desk location when I get there: some prints for the wall, a couple of note pads and a white board I can put a few photos on. With the budget cuts, I doubt the department would pay for any extras that are just comfort items.

I headed out for a hair cut on Saturday morning: after missing D. for the last few weekends it was past time for a cut. She changed it a little, got the ragged ends off but didn’t go along with my plan for drastic change. I stopped by one store I like up by her and picked up some dust collecting furnishings for the house.

I was heading to Thunder Hill Raceway last night and it was sprinkling on my windshield, so I detoured to the Outlet mall: I got a nice crop jacket, a new shirt and a couple of hoodies for a bargain. I threw the crop jacket on the outfit I was wearing: my new boots, that I feel like I stole from the Justin Outlet, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. It completed the outfit and was just the right weight for a spring race evening. I headed back up to the track and the racing began.
