Office Politics:
10/02/2008
I had a lot to say but kept my mouth shut.
The news is running a story, some of the details are correct and a couple of people tried denying them. There were a few closed door meetings yesterday. I was also waiting for a reaction from my talk with supervisor, nothing yesterday. I did find out I am getting put in for a commendation. A man I have been talking to recently called the chief’s office and said some nice things about me and the investigator. That was very nice of him; he is in the midst of a horrid tragedy.
I have been a news hound the last couple of days: checking financial news from around the world. I am sure I am not alone in this. I was talking to a friend last night and we were wondering if people were feeling the same way before the great depression. Waiting and wondering what was going to happen.
Tonight is the VP debate here in the States. I am going to stay home and watch them. I think it’s important enough to skip my yoga class to watch them live. The Senate passed a pork filled provision bill yesterday. Check out The New York Post for the picture of the piggy politicos and read the article. I love it it’s so appropriate.
