A couple of Big Ouches.
09/25/2008

The economy and my head.

The economic meltdown is continuing: President Bush took TV time last night try to push the bailout plan through the legislature and calm the public. That worries me even more: the financial crisis is probably bigger than I think it is. I don’t’ want to bail out the banking scoundrels but I don’t want to head into a depression either. With Wall Street as an international money hub, its crash could affect the global economy. It’s time to start kicking some butt in Washington and New York.

The presidential candidates have a meeting with President Bush on Thursday. McCain is suspending his campaign and getting to work on the financial mess, Obama is whining about McCain possibly rescheduling a debate from this Friday to another time. Obama, it’s time to get your happy little butt back to the office: its time to do the work the people elected you to do. Why don’t you follow a true leader and head back to Washington?

I left work early Tuesday, headed to the house and crashed. I woke up on Wednesday still in pain and headed to the doctors office. I am getting rather sick of this: the light flashes, my head feels like it is going to explode. My ear feels like it is full of fluid & I get stabbing pains in my ear: like someone is stabbing me with a pencil. I can tell you that this whole mess isn’t very pleasant; it’s being called a migraine. We ran a bunch of blood work yesterday, maybe we missed something, but I am not hopeful. I am getting very frustrated. I have two more specialists I am going to try here in Austin, but if that doesn’t work, I am going to head to a bigger city and see if I can find someone that can explain this mess. I can treat the symptoms with drugs, but I need to know the cause. It’s starting to disrupt my day to day activities it’s happening about once a month now. It stinks.
