Back problems got me down.
07/19/2008

I have resided in the bedroom all week.

I headed home from work last Monday, I hit the grocery store and then I turned wrong. My back went out. Yes, completely out. I could feel the pain, stumbled to the bed to lie down. In the middle of the night I was crawling to the bathroom searching for anything that would relieve the pain. It was a long night. I called the chiropractor on Tuesday morning looking for some relief. I headed to her office and tried a couple of moves and my back just started to spasm, there was no way I was going to able to drive home. I literally crawled off the table, it took a good half hour to get down the hall way and I managed to snag a ride home. I stumbled into the house, laid back down in bed and stayed there for the rest of the day.

Wednesday morning, I got up feeling slightly better; I could at least stand up right. The spasms had slowed to a manageable pace. I put the back brace on and I hopped on the bus, to the chiropractors, did a little adjustment and drove home. Again I spent the day and night in bed. Thursday was the same routine with a distracting call from the office. There was no need to hang up on me. I was getting sick of daytime television by Thursday and finished a book I was reading. Friday I headed out in the morning and was feeling a bit better: I could now roll over with out pain and walk a bit. I took Saba to the park in the afternoon: duel mission: a walk for me and a chance to run him down. I got back, was feeling rotten and headed back to bed.

It is now Saturday morning: I can walk; I still have pain but making progress. I guess this means no lawn work, no garden work and the house cleaning will have to wait another week. I can’t find my heading pad; I will have to go purchase another one. I have the box but there’s nothing in it. I can’t figure out where it is or what I did with it. I haven’t needed it in quite a while.

It was an unexpected distraction for the week.
