Quick update: Ducks
01/24/2008

I have been quite for a bit, sorry, lots going on, little I can share.

I did watch 48 Hours Mystery on Tuesday night: In too Deep? It was done on a case I am too familiar with. I was glad I watched from home by my self: I had a few choice words thrown at the television that were directed at Ms. Laura Hall. I thought that Jennifer Cave’s mom and step dad came across quite well. I feel so sorry for them. They lost a beautiful daughter, had their lives disrupted for a few years and are taking their anger and hurt and using it for change. There is a new law on the TX books about dismembering a body thanks to Jennifer’s mom.

It was a long weekend for me, a holiday on Monday and I managed to get quite a bit done around the house. I now have inside window trim and sills. It took quite a few hours, but it is done and they look great. I have a couple more pieces of trim to install this weekend and perhaps some doors to purchase. I am slowly working on getting all the finish work done on the house. Painting the outside will have to wait until it gets warmer.

I was looking forward to a walk on Monday, but the weather didn’t co-operate. I wanted to take Saba on a trail that I am hesitant to walk myself. I thought I had rounded up company for it, but the plans got canceled due to the weather. Perhaps some other day we can do it.

Work has been a bit of a challenge. I am extremely frustrated with some issues. I need to think about what battles I am willing to fight. Sometimes if it looks like a duck, if it acts like a duck, it is a duck. Do I want to point out that a duck is running around the office?
