Happy weekend.

Saturday morning: sleeping in, enjoying breakfast, coffee and a bit of chit chatting on the phone.
This is what weekends are for: having a bit of fun, relaxing and catching up from the weeks work. Getting chores done, like laundry, and grocery shopping, yard work and the fun stuff. I’m going to Yoga later in the afternoon then I think I will just curl up with a book and the television tonight.
I went ahead and did my taxes this week, no wonder I am feeling the money crunch! Seeing the difference on paper was quite a shock. I knew that I was taking a huge pay cut, but boy oh boy. I have to remember, I did this. I wanted a change so I have no one to blame but myself. I do like my life now, it is a lot simpler. I have my weekends, I have my evenings free and I am enjoying myself a whole lot more. I have been socializing, going out a bit but I have felt the difference in the budget. I was trying to remember when the last time I went out for an extravagant evening was. I can’t recall. I used to go out and blow lots of money on dinners and drinks. I don’t do that anymore, I cook at home most nights now. I get together with friends, we make dinner or make cocktails at home, and I like it. It is a bit more fun, theirs a lot more talking going on.
