I’m skipping the usual Christmas posting.
12/27/2004

I was reading through a few journals the last few days and I don’t know, I just don’t have any crazy family stories this year. I had a quite day, I did some yard work, enjoyed the warm afternoons and took Saba to the dog park.

I am anxiously awaiting the close of 04. It has been a tough year, it’s been a fun year but I am ready to change the calendar. My future is looking bright. I have plans for the New Year, nothing drastic, just a few minor changes.

I was thinking as I was doing some of the yard work over the weekend, I have some of the best friends anyone could ask for. It is a blessing I am thankful for. They have been so supportive of me; they are there when I need them. Be it a full on girl bitch session, an emergency dog watching or just to get together because the weather is nice. I might need some boy advise, some work advise or it could be I bought too much at the grocery store. A cup of coffee or some other dining delight is just a phone call or email away.

Saba has enjoyed a lot of company this year. He just loves when his friends come over and visit. I know, he is rambunctious, he is a bit out of control for the first few minuets, but generally he is well behaved. He is so flexible, a romp in the park, a stop at the local coffee spot, curling up with me for a nap. The adventures of taking a 15 hour drive in the car to go see his uncle, getting a hotel room for the night. Sometimes it is sleeping at a camp site or a quick nap in the car. He knows when company is coming in from out of town, he anxiously awaits there arrival once the other bed is made up. I find it comforting that when I get home from work, yoga or some other outing, he is always happy to see me.

It is the small things that make my world a wonderful place to be.
