How did it manage to become Friday so quickly?
11/12/2004

This week has flown by for me; I hit the ground running when I got back from Phoenix and just kept going until last night.

I managed to pick Saba up from P’s house Monday evening and headed out to dinner with Cranky. We had a nice time, getting caught up on gossip and stuff. Tuesday it was off to work and then I headed to the neighborhood meeting. I got appointed to another year of cop networking for the hood. I am not sure how this is going to work out with the cop shop. I am a bit disgruntled for the moment with work. It’s a long story and I don’t want to go into it here. Let’s just say, things are not working out as I had planned.

Wednesday morning I dropped the car off to get fixed at the dealership, the check engine light had come on. I had to have the catalytic converter replaced. I was just under the warrantee mark, so that ended up being free. It’s a good thing I don’t drive that much, I was hitting the years mark not the mileage mark. I was off an running again on Thursday morning to get the car back.

Wednesday night I ended up with a couple of friends over for some beer and a bit of food. Yes, I made dinner, I can cook when I want to. Both of my friends work in auto crashes, they have worked together professionally, but this was the first time they got together on a social basis. It was a lot of fun. I am glad there weren’t other folks here; we were talking about cars, crashes, blood, guts and gore. We were laughing a bit about the messes folks get into. It might have sounded weird to an outsider, but some of the stuff is down right funny. I heard from both of them that they had a good time and would like to do it again some time in the future.

Last night, I got home and skipped Yoga. I was feeling rundown and a bit cranky. I just drew myself a hot bath and then snuggled up with Sid and Saba. It is getting a bit chilly here, the heater kicked on for the fist time this morning.

Today, it is back to the “normal” schedule. I am heading off to work, no errands before work today. I don’ have much planned for the weekend I am just going to take it easy and see what develops.
