No more clearance bins.

I got a few emails and a couple of phone call about the last entry. There are still a few nice guys left, I just needed to be reminded. You are right, I am wrong, will you forgive me?

I had an interesting weekend. I ended up at a country and western bar after work on Friday, a house party on Saturday and at the pool on Sunday. I met up with Cranky and a few of her friends late Friday night. I asked if I could crash the get together and was warmly welcomed. I headed down once I got off work and had a pleasant evening. I hadn’t been to this bar before, it was a lot of fun and I noticed I know most of the county songs the DJ played. I was a bit surprised, I don’t think of myself as a listener to country music. Saturday was a combined birthday party/house warming party. What a neat house, nice back yard and a good group of folks. I had a lot of fun just chit chatting and having a few beers. I headed down to Barton Springs Pool yesterday afternoon. I was going to take Saba to the big park but with all the folks celebrating Mothers day, I figured I wouldn’t be able to let him off the leash. That happened to us last year, lots of folks doing the barbeque/picnic thing. I ditched the dog and headed for the pool. I have a slight sunburn, but that is normal for my first time in the sunshine for the year. It felt good to go swimming, haven’t done that for a while.

I missed the Busch race on Saturday night, the party was in full swing by the time the race was on TV. Robby did ok in the race, he ended up placing 10th and stayed in the 5th in driver points. Martin Truex Jr. nailed his third 1st place finish for the season. Robby headed off to Indy practice on Sunday, I saw on his website they were doing some “shakedown” of the new car. Sounds like things are progressing well for the Indy race. Indy practice runs the beginning of the week then Robby heads to Richmond VA for short track racing.
