Sorry, I have been to a few parties lately and been bad about updating. Let’s see where to start
03/18/2004

I went to the film party, you saw that, then the computer folks showed up they are a whole different group to socialize with. They do know how to party. I managed to make it to the interactive awards, one of my favorite things. I did get a few panels in on Saturday and Sunday.

I managed to listen to Brenda Laurel do the key note address. I have to say I was a tad disappointed with her presentation. She used her grad student’s work as the majority of her presentation. I thought that was a bit lame. I thought she was going to give us more of her stuff. Oh well. I ran into a few friends and stayed and chit chatted for a bit and then headed back to the house to tend to Saba.

I headed out for the night to go to the Frog Design opening party. Again lot’s of folks I know from prior years and did a bit of socializing and networking. I wanted to see the Super Size me movie so I ducked out of that party a bit early. I headed over to the Paramount Theater for the premier of the film and was shocked to see the lines for the movie around the corner. One of the perks of working at the festival for the past 9 years is knowing how to avoid the lines. Yes, I did cut the line and get in to see the film. It was fabulous and the filmmaker did a question and answer after the showing. I headed home after, I needed to pace myself, it is a long 10 day festival and I just can’t do everything.
