Meetings, a goat and lunch tour today.
08/21/2003
Not much to share from last night, I headed out the door to a meeting after work and then managed to get home before 10. I didn’t see much of an update about the Jimmy Spencer/Kurt Busch fiasco that was new this morning. I guess it will sort its self out over the next couple of days. Practice and qualifying should be interesting.
Otis’s dad was at the coffee shop where the meeting was held. If you don’t recall, Otis lives down the street from me, he is the biggest goat I have ever seen. I asked his owner if I could borrow him for a short time and he said fine as long as I have a good fence. I think it would be neat to harass the neighbors for a few days and get the yard trimmed and fertilized in one mission. I wonder how Saba would react to having a goat in the yard with him?
I get to take a tour today of the new combined command center. It is one of the perks of the Chief’s forum. The new center is almost ready to house TXDot, 911/311, APD, EMS, Fire and emergency management. I hear it is very high tech and quite a site to see. I will let you know later what it was like. The mission was to build a site so everyone could communicate and know what is going on in the city/county.
