Jimmy Spencer fined 25K and suspended from NASCAR for the races in Bristol.

Yesterday afternoon NASCAR announced fines, suspensions and probation for both drivers. Reason: “actions detrimental to stock car racing” and fighting. The press I am reading is saying that there was a spin and a bump on the way to the garage. Kurt admits words were exchanged when he was still strapped in the car, helmet off. Kurt Busch ‘s team owner Jack Roush is going to appeal the probation. Jimmy will also appeal the fines and suspensions.
Jimmy was to run all three races Truck, Bush and Winston Cup this weekend. There should be a hearing today (Tuesday) as the trucks are to run on Wednesday night. This will be spilling over all day long. The sheriffs department is still doing it’s investigation and will present its case to the district attorney. I wonder if there will be criminal charges brought. Kurt is claiming a chipped a tooth and damage to his nose.
I doubt after listening to Wind Tunnel last night when Jack Roush was on TV that Robby will be getting a Roush ride there anytime soon. Jack said Kurt’s remarks last year to Robby were in jest. Yah right.
