No picnic for me this year. At least not paid, I may still head out there if the weather is nice.

I got an email back from the venue, they were all set with the back of house stuff. Did mention we should get together after the big show and talk.

Not much going on in my world. I am tired, cranky and a we bit still under the weather. I managed to get all my work done on Friday so I was able to skip going in on Saturday. I took the bundle of energy to the park for a three hour romp in the river. We headed down to the state park not far from here. We got to the gate and there were I swear about 30 cars lined up at the check in. I politely asked the ranger where they were heading and Saba and I headed the other direction.

We traipsed along the river, in the river and down the streams. It was an area of the park I had not been to before. We did lots of splashing and dunking in the deep parts. I managed to see quite a few different birds along the way. I couldn’t tell you what they were but some of them were awfully attractive. It was nice to have a break, away from the everyday distractions. It amazes me that you can find a natural setting so close to the city. The only distraction was an occasional plane flying over head.

I stopped at the store on the way home to grab a few much needed items. I had to leave Saba tied to a tree out in the parking lot. It was way to hot to leave him in the car. I rushed thru my shopping and we headed home for a nap. Poor baby is not feeling well, digestive problems. I wonder what he got into? Headed back out with cranky after a spell to look at a health club. She and here co-workers are looking at a group rate for joining. Not sure, it would be a good idea but I hate to be tied to a year contract. We headed next to the clothing store so I could get a few more sleeveless tops. It is getting beastly hot around here and it isn’t July yet. Stopped for dinner on the way back and then headed home to watch TV and sleep. I told you there isn’t much going on with me the last couple of days.
