Concrete done. Marley Fest in the works, lunch with Brenda and Kevin Fowler tonight.

The concrete truck showed up about noon yesterday. Well, there were actually 2 of them. The guys got it done by 6:30 and it is curing. I managed to etch my initials in a corner with the date, but I couldn’t get Saba’s paw print in, it was to dry by the time I got back from my walk with Saba.
Poor Saba, he had to spend the day in the house. I couldn’t let him out yesterday, the guys had the gates open and were coming and going all day long. I also didn’t want to have dog prints all over the new floor. I took him to the park last night right after work to get him run down. We had a great time at the park, we didn’t see Rob but we did see his dogs and his new fence.
I got an emergency tax call last night. A friend of mine, P, always waits to do her taxes until the last minuet. She tired to file on line last night but that didn’t work. I have a nifty little tax program that I use. (I am a bookkeeper so Yes, I have those sort of programs.) I ran the numbers and printed out the forms for her. She walked out of the house at about 10:30 so she had time to get to the post office on time.
I spent a good chunk of time last night answering reservations for the South Austin Culture Club. http://southaustinculture.org/ It is on Tuesday April 22 at Architerra 3601 South Congress at 11:30. Sounds like it will be a who’s who of local politics again this year. Cheap, it is only $10.00.
