Just got home from the track, practice, qualifying, fireworks and Fandango.

I have the greatest seats! They are on the start/finish line. High enough to be able to see all the turns. I watched all of the Bush practice and qualifying.
The number 10 Nesquick bunny car of Scott Riggs car was awfully quick in practice, but he had an oops. He hit the turn 3 wall and smashed the back end in. I didn’t know if they could get it back to racing and we found out later in qualifying that he went to a back up car. The group I was sitting with didn’t realize that he had been so quick in practice. The first lap he topped the tower. He was in first for about 20 more cars.
Randy Lajoie from South Norwalk, CT qualified terrific, he is an old home town boy. Yup, he was just down the road from my home town. I was very pleased with his 10th place finish.
I headed home for a few minuets to feed the dog, get a little cleaned up and headed back to FANDANGO. That was the “private” show for the season ticket holders. It was a lot of fun. Dale Earnhardt Jr. showed up. That was special, he hates to do publicity stuff. They had and question and answer session with the crowd. I enjoyed it a lot. The best part was the fireworks that were shot off at the end of the night. I swear it was about 10 minuets full of bangs, bright lights and music playing in the background.
